The new iPad Air comes with an M2 chip, repositioned front camera, and a larger 13-inch display option that joins the 11-inch model. The more robust iPad Pro, available in both 11 and 13-inch sizes, features a new OLED display (more details below) and a powerful new M4 chip. Not to mention, the design of this iPad Pro is super sleek and thin, even thinner than the iPad Air! Additionally, due to its thinner size, the iPad Pro is lighter than the iPad Air. Despite their slim profiles, both models boast exceptional strength, ensuring durability without compromise. Yet, both iPads are exemplary in terms of portability and performance for a tablet.
The price difference is around $200 between the new iPad Air and iPad Pro. As you can see, the iPad Pro, with its M4 chip, is more robust and powerful.

The display for the iPad Pro is remarkable: the Ultra Retina XDR display. Utilizing OLED technology, this display delivers unparalleled brightness, contrast, and color accuracy. With support for up to 1000 nits of full-screen brightness for SDR and HDR content, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits for HDR, the Ultra Retina XDR display offers an unrivaled viewing experience. From specular highlights to shadow detail, every aspect of the visual presentation is enhanced, providing users with a level of precision and clarity that is truly extraordinary.
With the new M4 chip in the iPad Pro, the tablet delivers a significant leap in performance and efficiency. The M4 chip offers up to 1.5x faster CPU performance compared to its predecessor, making it much more efficient than the iPad Air with the M2 chip.
For those who are particular about storage size (RAM), the iPad Pro starts at 256GB and goes up to 2TB, whereas the iPad Air starts at 128GB and goes up to 1TB. Considering the M4 chip with the higher RAM size, the iPad Pro offers a significant power and memory boost over the iPad Air.
Let’s talk about accessories. Complementing the new iPad Pro is the Apple Pencil Pro, which brings powerful new interactions to the table. The new Apple Pencil Pro comes with a new sensor in the barrel, allowing users to switch tools, line weights, and colors with a simple squeeze without interrupting their creative flow. Alongside this upgraded Apple Pencil, Apple has released a new Magic Keyboard specifically designed for these new tablets. This Magic Keyboard has improved essential features including a new aluminum palm rest, a larger glass trackpad than the older model, and a new row of function keys, offering a laptop-like feel with more versatility and flexibility.
